Summer Bishil, an American actress, is best known for portraying Margo Hanson in the Syfy fantasy series The Magicians. The role she played before as a Lebanese American young woman Jasira that goes through many personal trials against the backdrop of U.S. war in Iraq was part of Alan Ball's film Towelhead. The subsequent recognition as one of Variety's Top 10 Actors of 2007 was also a great honour. The 2009 film Crossing Over, in which she portrayed the powerful character Taslima Jhangir and was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award as the best female lead. The other roles in her film include Moozlum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake, as well as several guest appearances on television.
